Promotional products are useful or interesting articles of merchandise that usually carry an imprinted advertising or promotional message. They can be something simple like a pen or a coffee mug, or they can be as elaborate as a custom made bobble head. As mompreneurs, we need to get our name out there and the best way to do that is by promoting our businesses with promotional products.

I have been in the promotional products industry for about 8 years. When I started my company, Rockin’ the Cradle, I knew that I would be in need of promotional products, but I also knew that I was on a very strict budget and could not yet afford to spend a lot of money on advertising. I then began to look for items that were on sale or on closeout. By doing this, I was able to purchase products within my budget and begin to get my name out there. My customers were very impressed with the items I gave them that had my logo on them and a lot of them asked if they could order similar items. It then occurred to me that mompreneurs are in need of someone that will take the time to search for sale items and offer them products at a lower rate than my competitors. After discussing this with fellow mompreneur, Lauryn from Momazine, we decided to create “Rockin’ Mompreneurs” and offer such services to mother-owned businesses.
